HOW TO TAKE MEASUREMENTS FOR YOUR CUSTOM TAILORED BLOUSE:

Please take measurements of the following dimensions ‘in INCHES’, using a soft cloth tape, that wraps around the contour of your body. Do not use a metal tape.

A. Blouse Length: Measure from the center point of your shoulder to the lowest point of the blouse below the bust. Ensure that the tape passes over the center of the bust while taking this measurement

B. Chest / Bust (all around): Keep the tape on center of the bust and wrap the tape around the back and bring it back to the starting point

C. Waist / Midriff / Below Bust (all around): Keep the tape below the bust and wrap the tape around the back and bring it back to the starting point.

D. Shoulder: Measure the distance from top of one shoulder joint to the other

E. Armhole (all around): Start from the top of the shoulder joint, pass the tape under your armpit and back to the starting point. Please note that the measurement could be slightly different between your right or left hand, depending on whether you are a right or left handed person. Measure both and use the larger one.

F. Sleeve Length:, Measure from the top of the shoulder joint to the lowest point of your sleeve. This measurement is not applicable for sleeveless designs.

G. Sleeve Circumference (all around): Wrap the tape around your arm at the lowest point of your sleeve. Caution: The sleeves are designed to taper or be parallel between the shoulder joint and the bottom of your sleeve. If your arm has a light bulge between your shoulder joint and the bottom of your sleeve, take the measurement at the bulge. Please also note that the measurement could be slightly different between your right or left hand, depending on whether you are a right or left handed person. Measure both and use the larger one. This measurement is not applicable for sleeveless designs.

H. Front Neck Line: Start where your neck meets your shoulder and go right down to the lowest part of the neck line.

J. Back Neck line: Start where your neck meets your shoulder and go right down to the lowest part of the neck line on the back side

I.  Point: From your shoulder to the point.

K. Upper Bust: Measure around your upper bust at your underarms.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Unit of Measure: Please take all measurements in INCHES

2. Accuracy: Some of the measurements are difficult to take on your own (for example ‘J’). Please take help from a partner / friend

3. Fit: While taking measurements, keep in mind whether you want a comfortable fit or a tight fit and whether your weight varies from time to time. In general, please add an extra ½ inch to ensure a good fit
